Description
Gen Z engineers are joining the workforce with strong technical skills, digital fluency, and a desire to contribute to meaningful, purpose-driven work. Yet misconceptions about this generation can create friction in project teams, fieldwork, and technical communication.
This session equips engineering managers, project leads, and technical supervisors with practical insights into how Gen Z approaches problem-solving, collaboration, and innovation. Using relatable engineering examples, we’ll explore multigenerational dynamics, common communication gaps, and how Gen Z’s comfort with digital tools influences workflows and productivity. We’ll also examine what Gen Z values in career development—including licensure pathways, early growth opportunities, and work with ethical or sustainability impact.
Participants will leave with clear strategies to support and develop Gen Z engineers, foster stronger collaboration across generations, and create a technical culture where new engineers feel confident contributing from day one.
