About François Bellefleur
François Bellefleur is a corrosion protection specialist and industrial coatings expert with over 25 years of experience in technical services, product development, and strategic business growth within the coatings industry. He currently serves as Technical Director – Canada at Galvatech 2000, where he leads national technical initiatives, supports complex infrastructure projects, and delivers advanced training on corrosion mitigation and surface engineering.
François combines a formal background in industrial chemistry engineering studies with extensive field expertise in protective coating systems, surface preparation standards, and long-term asset preservation strategies. He is a Certified Coatings Inspector (AMPP/NACE Level 2) and has provided expert technical support across Canada, including forensic analysis, preventive maintenance specifications, and performance validation in aggressive industrial environments.
Throughout his career with organizations such as Sico, Akzo Nobel, and PPG, he has led multidisciplinary technical teams, supported R&D initiatives, contributed to LEED-compliant projects, and developed internal technical standards and training programs. Recognized for his structured analytical approach and ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions, François brings both strategic vision and hands-on expertise to infrastructure durability and corrosion management.
